3rd Grade - Mrs. Paddie
Hi everyone!
My name is Kahnya Paddie and I have taught at Verda Elementary for 14 years (1 year in Special Education, 9 years in 6th grade, and 3 years in 4th grade). This will be my second year teaching 3rd grade and I am very excited to embark on this new adventure with you! I feel very blessed to be at VES, where everyone knows everyone and we truly feel like family.
I grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Northwestern State University, so I truly understand the struggles and benefits of small town living. Both of my sons, Kole and Kasey, are MHS graduates as well. My granddaughter, Adeline will be joining me in 3rd grade. Someday, my grandson, Keller, will be a yellow jacket too!
Again, our 2021 school year is certainly not ideal, but we will do whatever it takes to educate our students in the safest, best way possible. Some things will not be affected, such as my love for my students and my desire to get to know each of you. I am looking forward to teaching as well as learning this year.
